Basketball Recap: Knightstown Takes a Loss

Knightstown lost against Union County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knightstown Panthers took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union County Patriots. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Knightstown lost, don't look at Anna Roberson. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points and three steals. Roberson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Knightstown's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Union County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Knightstown Panthers take on the South Decatur Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Union County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 40-34 victory against Shenandoah on the 4th.
