DJ Joyce and Co. Win 23rd in a Row

DJ Joyce's big game helped extend Mount Airy's winning streak to 23 on Friday. Joyce produced his best game of the campaign : he rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns.

Mount Airy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Joyce and Mount Airy will venture away from home to face off against South Stokes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Taeshon Martin's Big Game Leads Mount Airy over East Wilkes

Taeshon Martin was instrumental in extending Mount Airy's winning streak to 23 on Friday. Nobody could stop Martin as he rushed for 182 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 116 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Martin might have his next game, a home matchup with South Stokes, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Martin saw the Sauras), he rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown.

Jymir Billips Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Starmount got the W thanks in part to Jymir Billips playing the best football he has all season. Billips rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.

Billips must have North Stokes's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Billips saw the Vikings), he picked up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown.

Kinston Crater Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Starmount got the W thanks in part to Kinston Crater playing the best football he has all season. Crater rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown.

North Stokes's probably not too fond of Crater given he always seems to get the better of them. When Crater last faced the Vikings back in September of 2023, he rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown.
