Preston Benner put up the most strikeouts he's had over his last four matches on Tuesday. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Benner's strong effort led St. Albans over Episcopal and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are 9-1 against the Maroon going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
