Navasota is 10-0 against Giddings since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Navasota Rattlers will venture away from home to square off against the Giddings Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Navasota's tournament run continued when they took on Splendora on Saturday. Navasota fell to Splendora 47-42.

Meanwhile, Giddings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-44 heartbreaker at the hands of Fayetteville.

Navasota's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Giddings, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Everything came up roses for Navasota against Giddings when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the team secured a 60-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Navasota since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
