Recap: Sheehan Titans vs. Joel Barlow Falcons
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Sheehan Titans can now relate to. They were just a hair shy of victory on Sunday and fell 17-16 to the Falcons. Sheehan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Joel Barlow apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paul Gorry, who rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Sheehan's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Joel Barlow, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.
Sheehan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Joel Barlow is on the road again on Saturday and play against Watertown. Watertown's defense has only allowed 16.7 points per game this season, so Joel Barlow's offense will have their work cut out for Joel Barlow.
