Los Alamos made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,637 from 9,635. The improvement was the result of 34-0 victory over Bernalillo last week.
Santa Fe's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jordan Booth - Homer threw for 137 and one touchdown and Daniel Jacquez had 66 yards receiving. On the ground Anthony Abeyta chipped in 150 yards. Abeyta helped Santa Fe's passing attack out by catching two balls for 45 yards.
Santa Fe's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Demons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Booth - Homer has thrown for 316 yards and one touchdown this season, while Jacquez has six catches for 176 yards. Abeyta leads the league in rushing with 796 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Los Alamos takes on second place Santa Fe. The Hilltoppers bested the Spartans last week, while the Demons topped Espanola Valley.
