Silo had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 5-1 to the Northside Christian Mustangs on Saturday. Silo was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northside Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.
For Northside Christian's part, they got a great performance from Nick Bertrand as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (he also only allowed one walk). Merric Hunt relieved him and did a solid job, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (he also only allowed one walk).
