Softball Recap: East Providence Townies vs. St. Raphael Academy Saints
East Providence was the 7-3 winner over St. Raphael Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The East Providence Townies fell 6-2 to the St. Raphael Academy Saints on Tuesday. East Providence has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Shelby Quinn was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a double.
East Providence's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for St. Raphael Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
East Providence will head out on the road to square off against East Greenwich at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Providence is facing East Greenwich at the right time seeing as East Greenwich is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. Raphael Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Moses Brown at 4:00 p.m.
