Baseball Recap: Millard West Find Success

The third road contest was the charm for Millard West, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They came out on top against the Creighton Prep Junior Jays by a score of 5-1 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Junior Jays last Tuesday, they had to take a 11-10 defeat.

Ryder Moore looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Millard West's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Kidd, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Millard West's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Creighton Prep, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4.
