Scripps Ranch is 8-2 against Mira Mesa since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Falcons will face off against the Marauders at 4:00 p.m. Scripps Ranch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Scripps Ranch had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Madison on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers stepped up to hand the Warhawks a 14-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kenzie Johnson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Johnson was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Katelyn Toth was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Sydney Ricario also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Scripps Ranch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Mira Mesa unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 5-1 to University City. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Marauders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Bailey McBride made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Mira Mesa now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Scripps Ranch, their record now sits at 11-6.

Scripps Ranch might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Mira Mesa when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
