Basketball Recap: Gorham Takes a Loss

Gorham lost against Pittsburg two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gorham Huskies came up short against the Pittsburg Panthers, falling 49-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Huskies have suffered against the Panthers since February 12, 2020.

Gorham has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Pittsburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gorham will venture away from home to take on Lin-Wood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Gorham is facing Lin-Wood at the right time seeing as Lin-Wood is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Pittsburg, they will square off against Colebrook Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pittsburg will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Colebrook Academy will have lost three straight heading into Friday's game.
