Volleyball Recap: Johnson City Eagles vs. Schulenburg Shorthorns

Johnson City had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Schulenburg Shorthorns on Monday as the Johnson City Eagles made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Johnson City never let Schulenburg on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Schulenburg saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Michaela Kollmann had 11 digs. Kollmann has been hot , having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Johnson City is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 games, which provided a nice bump to their 35-8 record this season. As for Schulenburg, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 33-12.

As of now, neither Johnson City nor Schulenburg have any future games scheduled.
