Volleyball Recap: IC Imagine's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After flying high against The Franklin School of Innovation on Tuesday, IC Imagine came back down to earth. The Kingfishers came up short against the Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Kingfishers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

While IC Imagine ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-21.

Jaedyn Miller paced IC Imagine's offense, picking up six kills. Miller got some help from Loretta Smith and her nine assists. Finally, Audrey Jones kept IC Imagine's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Allie Sprinkle, who had 16 digs and four aces. Sprinkle has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played. Claire Lewis was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.

IC Imagine's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 11-4. As for Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Looking ahead, IC Imagine will take on The Franklin School of Innovation at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
