Baseball Recap: North Vermillion Gets the Win

North Vermillion hadn't done well against Parke Heritage recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Falcons blew past the Wolves 11-5. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 21-6 victory the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Logan Lewis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Owen Hinchee was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Mason Paige was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

North Vermillion's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Parke Heritage, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wolves beat North Vermillion by a score of 12-2 on Friday.
