Baseball Recap: 15 Straight Home Victories for Thorndale

There's no place like home for Thorndale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let the Bremond Tigers get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brenson Beran was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Kade Becker, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Thorndale pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bremond, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Thorndale will take on Chilton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Chilton has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.25 runs per game on average), something Thorndale will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bremond, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Holland at 7:00 p.m. on April 4.
