After each having a week off, the Business Engineering Science Tech Eagles and the Walker Wolverines will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Business Engineering Science Tech is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Two weeks ago, Business Engineering Science Tech took a blow against Mount Vernon, falling 57-20. The Eagles were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Alexander Barrett, who threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns. 96 of those passing yards were hauled in by Anthony Hill, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, Walker got themselves on the board against Heritage two weeks ago, but Heritage never followed suit. They blew past the Hawks 33-0 at home. The Wolverines' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Business Engineering Science Tech's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Walker, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Business Engineering Science Tech was able to grind out a solid win over Walker in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, winning 24-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for Business Engineering Science Tech since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
