Volleyball Recap: Irving Comes Up Short

Irving was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the MacArthur Cardinals. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Irving may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored two points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-2, 25-2.

Irving's record is now 4-16. As for MacArthur, their victory ended a 12-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-15.

Coincidentally, Irving and MacArthur will both be playing Nimitz the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cardinals will host them at 6:30 p.m. on the 17th.
