Soccer Game Preview: Franklin Academy vs. Neuse Charter + Official Tickets

The Franklin Academy Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Neuse Charter Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While Franklin Academy's win against Research Triangle wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Raptors 1-0 on Thursday. Franklin Academy haven't had any issues with Research Triangle recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Neuse Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Voyager Academy, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, Neuse Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 518th, while Voyager Academy are ranked 252nd).

Franklin Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-2-1. As for Neuse Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything went Franklin Academy's way against Neuse Charter in their previous matchup back in September, as Franklin Academy made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
