Volleyball Recap: Ponderosa Takes a Loss

Ponderosa lost against Discovery Canyon back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder.

Ponderosa's offense was headlined by Logan Vigil and Kason LeVasseur, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Wesley Bolline and his 26 assists. Ren Rosenberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Ponderosa has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Discovery Canyon, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Coincidentally, Ponderosa and Discovery Canyon will both be playing Canon City the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Tigers at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Thunder will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
