Baseball Recap: University Comes Up Short

University lost against Belton back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-4.

D'Angelo Alvarado made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Anthony Galvan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Belton, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-11.

While University had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
