Basketball Game Preview: Grace Christian Grizzlies vs. Colony Knights

The Grace Christian Grizzlies will venture away from home to square off against the Colony Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Grace Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Homer: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Grace Christian blew Homer out of the water with a 67-23 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Grizzlies had established a 41 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Colony had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 69-24 win over the Wolverines. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Wolverines are ranked 63rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Grace Christian and bumps their season record up to 8-1. As for Colony, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Grace Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Colony when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 59-55 victory.
