Basketball Recap: Twiggs Academy Takes a Loss

Twiggs Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 99-44 defeat at the hands of the Milledgeville Athletic Club Bears.

Greyson Rogers was his usual excellent self, putting up 44 points for Milledgeville Athletic Club. Rogers' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Branden Conner, who posted 18 points and five boards.

Twiggs Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Milledgeville Athletic Club, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Twiggs Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. George's at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Milledgeville Athletic Club, they will square off against Georgia School for Innovation & Classics at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
