Windsor is 9-1 against Analy since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Jaguars will host the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Windsor has three straight wins, Analy has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Windsor made easy work of Maria Carrillo and carried off a 12-6 victory. Considering the Jaguars have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kaihla Jarvinen made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Haley Homan was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Haley Matson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Windsor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Maria Carrillo hit Analy with a five-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 12-3 to the Pumas.
Analy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryann Brown, who went 3-for-4 with one run.
Windsor's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Analy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.
Analy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Windsor has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. It's a different story for Analy, though, as they've only averaged .333. Will they be able to contain Windsor's hitters?
Windsor was able to grind out a solid victory over Analy when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 10-5. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
