Fountain-Fort Carson (Fountain, Colo.) defeat
Legend (Parker, Colo.) 35-13 after a strong game from
Team Team, who rushed for four touchdowns.
The teams went into the locker room at halftime deadlocked at seven. The Trojans took the lead for good on a touchdown pass by
Cameron Hacker to Team with 8:00 to go in the third quarter.
Fountain-Fort Carson secured its victory by scoring 14 points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 22.
Team was the top performer for FFC. He caught one touchdown and kicked three extra points.
The Titans'
Elijah Cherrington played well. The junior wide receiver caught one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to two on the year.
The Fountain school went into the matchup giving up only 16.2 points per game. Legend's 13 points were well below its season average of 24.0 per game.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Trojans, which lost to Valor Christian last week, 40-0. The defeat comes as a step back for Legend, which notched a 22-10 victory over Doherty in its previous outing.
Legend (3-3) goes up against Heritage in a 5A Pioneer game matchup next week, while Fountain-Fort Carson (5-1) locks horns with Castle View also in a 5A Pioneer game.
