Volleyball Recap: Cameron County Takes a Loss

If Cameron County was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northern Potter on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Otto-Eldred Terrors on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Terrors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 3rd.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-18.

Elsie Bresslin paced Cameron County's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bresslin got some help from Addison McAulay and her 13 assists. Ava Hilfiger controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cameron County dropped their record down to 5-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Otto-Eldred, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Cameron County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Williamson on the 27th. As for Otto-Eldred, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Oswayo Valley on the 29th.
