Softball Recap: Corona del Mar Takes a Loss

Corona del Mar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Estancia Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sea Kings of the 32-15 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Daniella D'Agostino was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Sierra Zuan also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Corona del Mar's record now sits at 4-8. As for Estancia, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Corona del Mar will take on Los Alamitos at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Los Alamitos will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Estancia, they will square off against Tustin at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
