Softball Recap: Triton Trojans vs. Wawasee Warriors

Triton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-6 in the process. They came up short against the Wawasee Warriors, falling 24-2. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 14-4 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wawasee's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Wawasee's part, Kirra Alvarez and Olivia Krichbaum made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Alvarez pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Krichbaum pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
