Soccer Game Preview: Burges vs. Hanks

The Burges Mustangs will take on the Hanks Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Burges' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Horizon 1-0. Ian Padilla had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Burges.

Meanwhile, Hanks came up short against Keller Central on Saturday and fell 3-1.

The win made it two in a row for Burges and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Hanks, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
