Baseball Recap: Heritage Hall Find Success

Heritage Hall won the last time they faced Purcell and things went their way on Monday too. The Chargers came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 4-1.

Matthew Kalcich tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Heritage Hall's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Whit Thomas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Thomas has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another was TJ Williams, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Heritage Hall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Purcell only managed one hit.

Heritage Hall's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Purcell, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-9.

Heritage Hall will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dragons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
