Brooks County waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Taylor County Vikings. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brooks County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 15-8.

Brooks County's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Taylor County, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2.

Coincidentally, Brooks County and Taylor County will both be playing Randolph-Clay the next time they take the court. The Trojans will host the Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
