Basketball Recap: Karson Komnick's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lincoln over Sacred Heart-Griffin + How To Watch

After flying high against Danville on Friday, Lincoln came back down to earth. The Railsplitters took a hard 60-46 fall against the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones on Tuesday. The Railsplitters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cyclones apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Lincoln's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karson Komnick, who posted 17 points. That was a full 37% of the Railsplitters' points, marking the fourth time in a row Komnick has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tate Aue, who scored 14 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacred Heart-Griffin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Brinkman, who shot 64% from the field en route to 21 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tereik Hurd, who went 8-for-10 on his way to 18 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lincoln fell to 3-1. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-38 win against Jacksonville on the 6th. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-40 loss against MacArthur on the 6th.
