Battle Mountain gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Summit Tigers as the Battle Mountain Huskies made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

After all that action, the final score was 25-19, 25-11, 25-8.

Battle Mountain found their leader in underclassman Evie Steinberg, who had 12 digs.

Summit is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Battle Mountain will head out to square off against Aspen at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Summit, they will take on Delta at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
