Victory Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rancho Buena Vista apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Victory Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Derek Edmond, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jayden Gray, who scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
Victory Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Canyon Crest Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 562nd, while Rancho Buena Vista is ranked 167th).
