While Liberty's victory against High Point Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Devils narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Grizzlies 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won four in a row.

Liberty had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-11.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for High Point Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Liberty will face off against rival Crescent at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, High Point Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
