Basketball Game Preview: Knightstown Panthers vs. Blue River Valley Vikings

Knightstown is on a four-game streak of home losses, Blue River Valley a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Knightstown Panthers will host the Blue River Valley Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Knightstown duked it out withRushville last Tuesday. Knightstown was beaten by Rushville 64-32. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite their defeat, Knightstown saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Derius Moore, who posted two points in addition to five rebounds, four blocks, and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Those four blocks gave Moore a new career-high. Brant Ellis was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, Blue River Valley came up short against Union City on Saturday, falling 61-39.

Knightstown's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Blue River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
