Volleyball Recap: Jacksonville Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wellborn on Monday, Jacksonville Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Thunder fell 3-1 to the Faith Christian Lions on Thursday. The Thunder haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Jacksonville Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-15.

Faith Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaylee Norton out in front who had 17 digs and seven kills. Norton has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played. Kayson Cronan was another key player, getting 16 digs, six kills, and five aces.

Jacksonville Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Faith Christian, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Jacksonville Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Jefferson Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Faith Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Glencoe on the 13th.
