If Henderson County was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Union County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colonels took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trigg County Wildcats on Wednesday. The Colonels' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cole Thompson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Henderson County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Evans, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Henderson County's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Trigg County, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

As for Trigg County, they will challenge Mayfield at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
