Clayton took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Cleveland, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Comets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams on Monday, sneaking past 1-0. The win was nothing new for Clayton as they're now sitting on six straight.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Ethan Hancock-Arroyo, who's now up to six this season.

Clayton's record now sits at 11-2-1. As for Cleveland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clayton will square off against rival Fuquay - Varina at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Cleveland is set to take on their familiar foe Southeast Raleigh at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
