Basketball Game Preview: Westville Tigers vs. Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes

The Westville Tigers will be taking part in a tournament against the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm will be up against a hot Westville team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Westville breezed by Iroquois West to the tune of 54-27 on Tuesday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Georgetown-Ridge Farm). They took their match on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 63-35 win over Milford. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-9.

Westville is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-16.

Everything came up roses for Westville against Georgetown-Ridge Farm in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the team secured a 66-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
