Volleyball Recap: Ottoville Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Ottoville came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Leipsic Vikings, falling 3-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Big Green's fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, 25-17.

Kendall Schnipke paced Ottoville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Schnipke got some help from Briley Wertenberger and her 19 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Karmyn Brough, who had 34 assists and nine digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more assists the last 44 times she's played.

Ottoville's defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Leipsic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Ottoville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Paulding on the 2nd. As for Leipsic, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Kalida on the 2nd.
