Volleyball Recap: Pershing County Mustangs vs. West Wendover Wolverines
Pershing County had already won 20 in a row and they went ahead and made it 21 on Saturday. Everything went their way against the West Wendover Wolverines as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolverines, too.
While Pershing County won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23, 25-16.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pershing County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Raegan Burrows, who had 27 digs, 20 kills, and two aces. Burrows is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 33 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Arya Garland, who had 34 digs and four kills.
Pershing County pushed their record up to 28-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for West Wendover, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season.
