Volleyball Recap: Sweeny Has No Trouble Against Brazosport

Sweeny won the last time they faced Brazosport and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Exporters with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Sweeny never let Brazosport on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 27-25.

Sweeny can attribute much of their success to Cheyenne Cole, who had six aces. Those six aces gave Cole a new career-high.

Cole wasn't the only good servers: Sweeny was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.

Sweeny's record now sits at 27-8. As for Brazosport, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Sweeny wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Wharton on the 14th. As for Brazosport, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Bay City on the 14th.
