Recap: Chambers Cougars vs. West Mecklenburg Hawks
The Chambers Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to West Mecklenburg for the full four quarters, racking up a 84-31 victory at home. That 84-31 margin sets a new team best for Chambers this season.
Jordan Patton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. Patton also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Markus Kerr was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Despite the defeat, West Mecklenburg saw an underclassman step up: Josiah Pratt scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
Chambers now has a winning record of 3-2. As for West Mecklenburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chambers will face off against Hough at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hough focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. As for West Mecklenburg, they will head out on the road to face off against West Charlotte at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. West Charlotte has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
