Volleyball Recap: Palatka Finds Playoff Glory Versus Interlachen

It's playoff time, and Palatka had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Interlachen Rams 3-0 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Palatka was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 25-21.

Palatka's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydni Spencer, who had six digs and two aces. Spencer is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hannah Faulkner, who had 18 digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Palatka was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matchups.

Palatka's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 12-14. As for Interlachen, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Palatka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Newberry on the 14th. Interlachen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
