Softball Recap: Gulf Shores Takes a Loss

Gulf Shores suffered their closest defeat since March 19th on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wakulla War Eagles by a score of 3-1.

Gulf Shores saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Leigh Price, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Gulf Shores' loss dropped their record down to 24-14-2. As for Wakulla, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.

Gulf Shores will square off against Fairhope at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dolphins 3.8, the Pirates 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Wakulla, they will face off against Spanish Fort at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
