Volleyball Recap: Taft Wildcats vs. Wasco Tigers        
        
		
             After flying high against Chavez  last Tuesday, Taft came back down to earth. The Taft Wildcats fell just short of the Wasco Tigers by a score of  3-2 on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as their game  on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Taft took Wasco into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-12, 25-16, 23-25,  15-8.
 Taft's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Haley Jimenez, who  had eight  digs and 20  assists, and  Shelby Gregory, who  had seven  digs and five  kills. Gregory is  on a roll when it comes to  kills, as she's  now  had five or more in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Taft's loss dropped their record down to 12-15-4. As for Wasco, their victory was  their eighth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 21-4.
 A feisty cat fight will be fought when  Wildcats takes on Delano at 6:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Wasco, they will challenge Shafter at 6:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Shafter will roll in looking for their  11th straight  win, something Wasco surely won't give up without a fight.
