The Antioch Christian Academy Gators will venture away from home to challenge the Liberty Christian Academy Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
Antioch Christian Academy can't be to happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Tuesday. They lost 10-1 to Mintz Christian Academy. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Carson Phillips put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Phillips was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, Joshua Brooks was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Liberty Christian Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Falcon Christian Academy on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy blew past Falcon Christian Academy 16-4. Considering the Knights' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Like Antioch Christian Academy, Liberty Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Mason Burns. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Burns was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hunter Herndon, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Grant Strickland was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3.
