Volleyball Recap: Edgewood's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Edgewood waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Edgewood not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Melbourne Central Catholic between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-14.

Paige Tarango was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs and two aces. Those nine digs gave her a new career-high.

Tarango wasn't the only good servers: Edgewood was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Melbourne Central Catholic only served two.

Edgewood's record now sits at 16-3. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That lines up perfectly with their 6-18 record this season.

Edgewood will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Calvary Chapel Academy at 7:30 p.m. Melbourne Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
