Basketball Recap: North Hall Gets the Win

While North Hall didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 78-75 win over the Munroe Bobcats on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Munroe lost, don't look at Zelden Chukes. Despite the final result, he went 10 for 13 on his way to 23 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Chukes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Jones, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 18 points.

North Hall's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Munroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

North Hall and Mosley will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. One thing working in North Hall's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for Munroe, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Munroe Bobcats challenge the Calhoun City Wildcats at 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
