Basketball Recap: Huntington Takes a Loss

Huntington lost against Diboll on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huntington Red Devils took a 49-31 bruising from the Diboll Lumberjacks. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 648th, while the Lumberjacks are ranked 295th).

This is the second loss in a row for Huntington and nudges their season record down to 15-18. As for Diboll, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Woodville the next time they take the court. Huntington will host Woodville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Diboll will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
